Some paintings are so ubiquitous, we’re unfazed when we see them. Van Gogh’s Starry Night, for example, is one of the most recognizable paintings in the world. But have you actually seen it?
This made me wonder: how are people actually seeing some of our most well-known paintings?
To explore this, I’ve collected the top 30 Google image results for five well-known paintings within the Museum of Modern Art. These images represent the most linked and act as a good proxy for the “most viewed” images of these paintings. Click on the link below to explore for yourself.
